Eiffel Tower

Towards the end of the cold freeze, I had a friend from the UK visting me and braving the cold, I took her to see the Eiffel Tower for the first time.

I like this photo since you can see people on the ice, trying to slide along and making the most of the weather, which I'd describe as crispy fresh.

I know the Eiffel Tower has made an appearance, and I'll be the first to admit that it won't be the last one. As touristy and boring as most of the French/Parisiens regard it to be, to me it just reminds you where you are. There's nothing better I like to do than hanging on the Champ de Mars in the Summer, walking along it in the cooler air, or watching it sparkle during the evenings. So call me an eternal tourist, as I don't think I could ever get bored of it..

BRR..it's cold in here (well, to be more accurate it was cold)

So pretty much all of Europe went under a 2 week big freeze, France didn't have it as bad as the more southern areas, but it felt bad enough. Just when you thought it was time to back away the winter clothes and big warm coats (again), you had to bring them out and layer up!

It only really snowed once (and even then it didn't stay) in Paris, and  this is the one winter photo I managed to take.

I like this one, and it I was always right about saying that Winter in Paris would be gorgeous.
